Financier Goes Green
Like many other Australian companies, Financier is concerned with climate change and does what it takes to reduce our commercial and individual footprints. In doing so, we have made a number of changes in and around our office to reduce our environmental impact.
Did You Know: 'The process used to manufacture recycled paper can use up to 90% less water and 50% less energy than making it from new trees.' (Source: Origin Energy) Therefore, we implemented a recycling scheme for all paper used in our office.
Did You Know: 'A desktop computer used for eight hours per day releases over 600 kilograms of greenhouse gas to the environment each year' (Source: Origin Energy) So, we use laptops which are much more energy and material efficient than a desktop computer and monitor.
Last but not least, we have optimised the use of electronic communication such as email, forms and electronic transactions. We use circulation lists and notice boards rather than a printed copy for per person. In doing so we have moved closer to becoming a paperless office.
